Harmar SL300 Automatic Folding Rail Stairlift

We run into different obstacles every day, no 2 houses are the same so what works in one house won't necessarily work in the next.  Here we installed a straight rail stairlift from Harmar, SL300 with an automatic folding rail.  Since the door to the garage is so close to the bottom step there would be a trip hazard with the rail sticking out past the door frame.  We are helping you stay safe in your home, not creating extra obstacles and hazards for you to deal with.  So this stairlift rail will automatically fold up and down as the stairlift moves up and down the rail.  The best part about this, it is a mechanical movement, not electrical, so there are no switches or power that is required to move the rail.  Our client was excited to be able to ride on his new stairlift for the first time.

The Tilt by EZ Access, Lift Chair for the Toilet

Some people need help getting up from a seated position.  Sitting in a recliner and need help getting up is no different from sitting on the toilet and needing a little extra assistance.  EZ Access how come out with a product to help those on the toilet get a lift, with the Tilt.  The tilt has a motor, very similar to what you would find in a reclining lift chair, along with a pendant remote that will lift you up to help stand you up off of the toilet.

Slimmer Stairlifts

This picture shows how much narrower the newer stairlifts are in comparison to those from just a few years ago.  The Stairlift on the left was installed around 2002 and the stairlift on the right was installed 2018.  The stairlift on the right is a Savaria K2 Straight Rail stairlift with a profile of 11".  The newer stairlifts allow more room for those walking up and down the steps to get around the stairlift with ease.

Adjustable Threshold Ramps

Do you have problems getting into your front door with your wheelchair or walker?

Threshold ramps are used where there is a rise 6 inches or less, usually on either side of a doorway.  There are options as low as 1/2" all the way up to a 6" threshold ramp.  I love the adjustable threshold ramps, if the rise is just over or just under an even inch, they can make up the difference with ease.  If the porch slopes and you have 3.5 inches on the left side and 4 inches on the right, the adjustable threshold ramp can create a custom fit that will be safe for everyone going in and out of the doorway.  These ramps get attached at the top into the threshold or the bottom into the porch.

Threshold ramps can be used when the door swing out over the ramp as well, since the threshold ramps do not have any edge protection, there is no obstacle in the way for the door to hit.

Emergency Ramp Rental for Workers Comp

We get calls frequently for people needing help immediately, whether a person is leaving a rehab facility, hospital or some other type of care facility and don't have a way to get into their home.  This was one of those calls, getting people in their homes is what we do.  Here we had workers comp needing a quote ASAP and once they approved it, we were out that same day installing it.  The person was at the hospital and couldn't come home until the ramp was installed, so Sean went out to their house on a Friday late afternoon and installed it by himself so she could come home on that Saturday.

Porch Lift M2 by Savaria

Here we installed a Porch Lift or Vertical Platform Lift for our client.  These types of lifts have to sit on a good concrete base, which this manufacturer requires a base of 12" of compacted gravel and 6" of concrete with rebar.  Excavating for the concrete is the fun part, coming in with a walk behind skid steer with a tooth bucket removing the soil.  This model has a total rise of 40", a weight capacity of 750 lbs, the top landing gate is built into this unit and the call/send stations are wireless, those features combined with the fact the unit is run off batteries makes this unit hard to beat.

Our client didn't want 40 feet of ramp installed in his yard, so we offered this solution and he loved it.

Commercial Black Ramp for Church

We were contacted by a Church to help them make use of the house the church owns next door.  They were converting the home into a coffee shop for the town residents to get a good cup of coffee.  The building department required the church install a ramp for those with mobility restraints.  They contacted us to come out and evaluate the property to see what needed to be done.

We installed a Black Powder Coated American Access Entrada Commercial Ramp for the church.

Two Wall Roll In Shower

We removed a walk-in shower with a 4" curb and installed this Best Bath 60x36 two wall roll in shower system that allows for easy wheelchair/shower access in and out of the shower for our client.  We installed a new Moen mixing valve, a new handheld shower attached to a glide bar for various position, 2 Moen Grab Bars, and a new corner shower curtain rod with a heavy duty shower curtain liner.  The collapsible water barrier around the outside perimeter of the pan allow for the water to stay inside the shower area.

Our client loved his new shower and can bath independently again giving him back the dignity he deserves.
